Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko caused controversy online with the inappropriate way she mourned her late colleague Junior Pope.
Junior Pope, whose real name was Odonwodo Obumneme Pope, tragically died along with crew members in a boat accident on April 10, 2024. The accident happened on the Anam River as they returned from a movie shoot.
Over a week later, Destiny Etiko expressed her sadness on Instagram about Junior Pope’s sudden passing. However, her approach raised questions due to the manner in which she grieved.
In her post on instagram she wrote:
Life has shown us again its hurtful side by taking you away from us when we didn’t see it coming. There’s no way to make up for time lost and now gone but I hope wherever you are, you know that you are truly loved 😍💯
