Nigeria’s top music director, TG Omori has opened up about his business partnership with the singer Asake.
Their collaboration started last year with the release of the hit single “Organize.” Their teamwork was remarkable, and the music video they created set a new standard in the industry for its creativity. Over time, they continued to collaborate on various projects, with each one surpassing the previous in terms of innovation and visual appeal.
However, rumors began circulating when Asake decided to work with different directors for his most recent music videos. Many speculated that the “Terminator” singer might have been upset with TG Omori after his last project, “YOGA,” didn’t receive as much attention as his previous videos.
However, the director, known as “Boy Director,” addressed the situation on the “Zero Condition” podcast, setting the record straight. He emphasized the ongoing mutual respect between himself and Asake.
He also pointed out that Olamide, the musician and CEO of YBNL record label, strongly believes in providing opportunities to talented individuals. It would be unfair to hold this against him, as it is a testament to his commitment to supporting emerging artists.
According to him, he and Asake are taking a break from working together as they have done about 10-12 music videos.
