A funny video featuring well-known Nollywood actress Chioma Akpotha having a playful argument with the AI assistant, Alexa, has been making the rounds on the internet, and it’s brought a lot of laughter to many.

In the video, Chioma, who is currently in the United States of America along with her colleague Uche Jombo, gets quite frustrated when Amazon’s voice AI, Alexa, can’t fulfill her request.

Alexa is a virtual assistant that responds to voice commands, doing things like checking the weather or playing your favorite music playlist, and much more.

In a room with Uche Jombo, Chioma Akpotha can be seen having a heated exchange with Alexa because the AI failed to play the popular song “Ndi Ike” by Falz.

Alexa was struggling to play the song and asked for more details, saying, “I would like to know what is wrong; give me more details, just say I have feedback.”

Chioma Akpotha, in response to Alexa’s request for feedback, grew increasingly frustrated with the AI device. She expressed her irritation, explaining that instead of playing “Ndi Ike” by Falz, Alexa kept saying “Henrique.”

Alexa, in turn, thanked Chioma Akpotha for her feedback.

Despite the efforts of Chioma and Uche Jombo to get Alexa to play “Ndi Ike” by Falz, they were unsuccessful, and they were eventually heard telling Alexa to be quiet and stop trying.

While the Alexa device has gained widespread popularity in the USA and certain other foreign countries, the situation is quite different here in Africa. This has made it challenging to play African songs on the device.

Captioning the video, Uche Jombo who laughs so hard in the video as Chioma tackles Alexa wrote; “Why can’t I have normal friends.”
