Nigerian songstress Tiwatope Savage, who is more commonly recognized as Tiwa Savage, recently revealed an interesting tidbit from her past. She mentioned that when she initially returned to Nigeria, she actually lived in the same apartment with Davido. This revelation came to light while they were performing together on Davido’s show.
She said, “Not a lot of people don’t know this but when I first moved back to Nigeria, I was actually sharing an apartment with David in 1004, e don tey and I’m so proud of you .”
In response Davido, while sharing a hug with Tiwa Savage said, “I love you, more years and we are going to do 100 more years.
Before relocating to Nigeria from London, where she completed her high school and college studies, Tiwa Savage had an interesting journey. At just 16 years old, she provided backup vocals for English singer George Michael. She also lent her voice to various other artists like Mary J Blige, Chaka Khan, Blu Cantrell, Emma Buntin, Kelly Clarkson, Andrea Bocelli, and Ms. Dynamite.
Moreover, she pursued her education at Berklee College of Music and successfully earned a degree in professional music in 2007.
In 2006, Savage took part in the UK edition of The X Factor and made it to the final 24 contestants. Unfortunately, she was eliminated as the 12th contestant.
