An old video of the Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, also known as Davido, expressing his desire to go on tour and collaborate on an album with his longtime rival, Wizkid, has made its way back onto the internet.
In this video from 2020, Davido shows his enthusiasm for putting an end to the ongoing rivalry between him and Wizkid in the music industry. Unfortunately, despite his earnest wishes, it seems their differences remain unresolved.
It’s worth noting that on January 18, 2022, Wizkid stirred up social media by announcing that, following his album and MLEE tour, he planned to embark on a tour with Davido.
Wizkid wrote, “After MLLE tour!! Davido nd I going on tour ! Save your coins! I no one hear pim!!”
In his words, “I have tried to do an album with Wizkid, I have tried to tour with Wizkid as we spoke about it, last Afronation, star boy and 30bg were meant to have a general meeting and solve every problem as far as possible it didn’t happen, we meant to do album, tour.”
