Fans and colleagues of Nollywood were startled by a loud alarm raised by three prominent figures in the industry: Destiny Etiko, Uche Jombo, and Chinyere Wilfred.
They collectively sounded a warning about the revered veteran actress, Patience Ozokwo. Destiny Etiko, in particular, used her Instagram platform as a digital town crier to convey the urgency of the situation. She disclosed that Patience Ozokwo’s WhatsApp number had fallen prey to hackers.
She exposed a series of messages from these impostors requesting financial assistance and claiming that they were about to send a substantial sum of 200k. In a shrewd move, Destiny requested a voice note to verify the identity of the sender as Patience Ozokwo.
Destiny was emphatic in stating that the esteemed actress had never made such pleas in the past. She urged fellow colleagues and fans to exercise caution and remain vigilant.
