Talented artist Stanley Omah Didia, better known as Omah Lay, recently opened up about the impact of fame on his mental health. During a candid interview with Adesope Olajide, he shared his early struggles when he first rose to stardom.

The sudden surge in popularity took a toll on his mental well-being as he grappled with the pressure and demands that came with fame. The expectations and the constant need to please his fans weighed heavily on him, putting him in a difficult mental state.

In his words; “At first I struggled, and it put me in a bad mental state because I was still trying to learn my ways. However, with time, I got comfortable and learned that I should move at my own pace. As soon as I realised that, I became much stronger and began to enjoy my life more.

“If I can put my vulnerabilities in my song, then I can talk about them. My music is all about my real-life experiences, and I know the world is listening to it.”
