Award-winning Afrobeat singer Davido has responded to the accusations made by former President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick. Pinnick claimed that Davido failed to appear at an event in Warri, Delta State, despite being paid a hefty sum of $94,600 (approximately N72.5 million).

Earlier, we reported that Pinnick publicly called out Davido in a viral video, alleging that the singer had received the payment of $94,600 and that the event organizers had even booked a private jet for him at a cost of $18,000. Pinnick threatened to take action against Davido for not fulfilling his commitment to perform at the Warri Again festival, and he emphasized that he wouldn’t allow Davido to perform in Warri again. Pinnick also pointed out that Davido shouldn’t let pride get the better of him, especially when compared to Burna Boy, who has Itsekiri roots in Warri.

In a response that seemed to be a subtle jab at the former NFF president, Davido wrote on his social media handle, “Throwing stones but living in a glass house.”

In a separate post, Davido confidently asserted that no one could prevent him from performing anywhere in Nigeria, reassuring his fans in Warri that he would soon be visiting their city.

He also posted a picture of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, logo with the caption; “Make I no talk.”
