During the early hours of Thursday, a cluster of legal professionals left a gathering organized by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). Their decision to leave was connected to their inability to accept the choice of Portable as the main performer.
The musical event, named Unbarred, occurred at the Velodrome situated within the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja. This event was a significant component of the NBA Annual General Conference.
The lawyers, who had been patiently waiting for the proceedings to commence, were taken by surprise when Portable became the center of attention. This happened during what had been promoted as the most extravagant closing party in the history of the NBA-AGC.
NBA President Yakubu Maikyau delivered a brief talk before the unconventional vocalist made an entrance onto the stage.
Footage circulating on social media displays Portable, without a shirt, climbing some of the stadium’s equipment. A number of the attorneys openly shared their doubts regarding the choice of the Zazu singer and decided to depart from the occasion.
Conversely, several legal professionals made the decision to stay and observe the performance by the controversial artist.
