Famous entertainer and artist, Carter Efe, recently declared that he has formally resolved the conflict with acclaimed rapper Blaqbonez, thereby bringing a conclusion to the intense disagreement that had been developing between them over the last year.

The dispute primarily revolved around a disagreement concerning the division of earnings from their successful joint song, ‘Machala’.

The initial spark of the feud ignited when Blaqbonez took to social media to publicly address Carter Efe, alleging that he was trying to unfairly treat fellow artist Berri Tiga in the allocation of royalties from the aforementioned song.

Blaqbonez had raised doubts about Carter Efe’s motives, pointing out the seeming contradiction between his statements about the challenges of the music industry and his choice to offer Berri Tiga a mere 5% portion of the earnings from ‘Machala’. Reflecting on the intensity of the disagreement, Carter Efe opened up in an interview with MTV Base, sharing insights into the clash and how it ultimately found a resolution.

My beef with Blaqbonez wasn’t a cruise. It was a real quarrel. He find my trouble. I just dey my own for Twitter, him just come dey say, ‘If you think music is easy, why do you want to give Berri Tiga 5% [of the proceeds of ‘Machala’]?’

“I was surprised. I didn’t reply him. My handler was replying him on Twitter and they were trading words. He thought I was the one.

But we have settled now. That’s guys for you. We are not like women; they envy each other [laughs],” he explained.
