VeryDarkMan, a prominent activist, issued a cautionary message to a man, Daniel Yunusa, who claimed to have narrowly escaped kidnappers while traveling to Kogi State.
In a viral video, Daniel, a Nigerian citizen, detailed a harrowing experience where he, along with five brothers and friends, was abducted and taken into the jungle. According to Daniel, he managed to escape and recorded footage while hiding in the bushes. In one video, he appealed to fellow Nigerians for assistance, expressing his uncertainty about his location and how to return home.
Post-escape, Daniel and his family pleaded for a N200 million ransom demanded by the kidnappers for the release of his siblings and friends.
Contrary to Daniel’s account, VeryDarkMan disputed the narrative, advising against providing any assistance to the family. The activist suggested that Daniel should rely on the legitimacy of his claims and trust that his case is under investigation by the police.
In his words:“I swear on my mother, i will make sure you spend a good time with the police if any of this is not true, in just 4days you posted your kidnap, posted car, posted the kidnapers video and now you are asking for funds, your only savior will be if this is true.”
