The ongoing dispute between Nigerian singer David ‘Davido’ Adeleke and his arch-rival and colleague, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has taken an unexpected turn with a surprising twist involving an American model named Gorgeous Doll. This model recently gained attention for allegedly leaking intimate videos of Davido online.
It’s worth recalling that a video went viral, showing Davido kneeling down and visibly emotional, pleading with a woman while dressed in a pajama set with a strawberry pattern. Additionally, a photo surfaced depicting him embracing the same woman from behind.
After Wizkid shared Davido’s crying video on social media along with subtle taunts, the American model who appeared in the clip took to the internet to express distress over receiving death threats.
In a recent video, the American model addressed her role in the situation, making it clear that she did not leak the controversial video online.
She clarified that she had been receiving numerous death threats and strongly emphasized that she had no desire to cause harm to Davido or his family.
While the model took responsibility for sharing the photo of herself and Davido, she made it clear that she had no involvement in the release of the video.
In her words, she said:
As you all know, this video that someone leaked in my camp is resurfacing on the internet with this rap beef situation and I’m getting death threats everyday and Nigeria I love how hard you go for this person, he’s a great artiste but death threats is OD and I think you guys need for me to come and tell you that I had no intention of disrespecting anyone’s wife or family, I said what I said.
“That video being leaked, I took accountability for the picture but I did not post that video, I never intended for that video to be out to the public and that’s what it is”
In the video, the American model revealed that she had reached out to Davido’s wife, Chioma, during the peak of the online controversy. Her intention was to provide Chioma with a comprehensive timeline of events and an explanation of how everything transpired.
She expressed that she approached Chioma with utmost respect and wanted to make it clear that she had no intention of disrespecting her. The model emphasized her long-standing support for women.
With sincerity, she pleaded with Nigerians to put an end to the death threats, as she had been subjected to overwhelming attacks from various individuals.
