An old video of the well-known Nigerian singer, Wizkid, singing to his late mother on stage has come back online, sparking a wave of emotional responses.
Just a few hours ago, Intel Region reported the sad news that Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, lost his own mother to death’s embrace.
Wizkid’s mom, Mrs. Balogun, passed away around 1:30 PM on Friday, August 18, 2023. Wizkid’s longtime manager, Sunday Aare, confirmed the news, revealing that Wizkid’s mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, had passed away in the early hours of that Friday.
“Yes, she died this morning, at about 1:30am,” Aare said.
Nevertheless, an old video has emerged where Wizkid beautifully expresses his deep love for his late mother, sparking conversations all over the internet.
In this video, Wizkid invited his late mother onto the stage, singing to her and sharing an incredible onstage connection. Both of them radiated a heartwarming chemistry, with his mother displaying some fantastic dance moves.
