In a recent post, renowned Nigerian nightlife figure Obi Cubana ridicules his colleague Cubana Chief Priest as he appears in court today, despite being granted bail of N10 million by the EFCC.

Socialite Cubana Chief Priest was present at a nightclub in Victoria Island yesterday, May 1st, 2024. However, he was subsequently taken to court this morning due to his ongoing case with the EFCC regarding the misuse of funds.

On April 17th, the Federal High Court in Lagos State granted bail to Cubana Chief Priest in the sum of N10 million, with two sureties required to provide a similar amount.

He appeared before Justice Kehinde Ogundare facing three charges related to the misuse of the naira, specifically involving spraying and tampering with the country’s currency at a social event. These actions are in violation of the provisions outlined in the Central Bank Act of 2007.

During the court session on the morning of May 2nd, 2024, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Cubana Chief Priest reached an agreement to settle the case of alleged naira abuse outside of court.

Cubana Chief Priest took to his Instagram page and shared a video of himself confidently leaving the courtroom.

In his post, Cubana Chief Priest expresses his frustration with the current stress he is experiencing and advises people to steer clear of situations that may involve them with the EFCC.

In his post he wrote; “Court day !!! Problem No Good Oh, @officialefcc 🦅 No Dey Joke Oh !!!! Better Stay Away From Their Wahala, I’m SUre You Will Not Love To Pass Through This Kinda Stress I’m Passing Through.”

Obi Cubana however took to the comment section of the post to jokingly mock Cubana Chief Priest as regards his ordeal with EFCC.

According to Obi Cubana  they were together at Vaniti, a high energy night club in Lagos last night only for Chief Priest to land in court this morning.

Obi Cubana wrote; “From Vaniti to court! Kai, ndi a ma ka ė si è stress mmadu walahi 🤣🤣🤣.”
