Renowned Nigerian artist Ahmed Ololade, professionally known as Asake, clinched the prestigious Next Rated Artiste award at the 16th edition of the Headies Awards.
The much-anticipated Headies Awards ceremony, which celebrated the accomplishments of Afrobeats artists, took place yesterday, September 3rd, 2023. The event was held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, and has been a trending topic online.
Asake faced competition in the nominations alongside Young John, Seyi Vibez, Victony, and Spyro.
From the eight nominations, Asake successfully secured two nods, specifically for the Next Rated Artiste of the Year and the Album of the Year with “Mr. Money With The Vibe.”
The Next Rated award category recognizes the most promising emerging artist of the year under review.
