An emerging singer has accused popular Nigerian artist Wizkid of turning down a $30,000 (N44 million) offer for a feature, according to a video circulating online.
The rising artist explained that his management approached Wizkid to collaborate on an upcoming song for $30,000, but the Grammy Award winner declined, stating the song was not good.
Visibly upset in the video, the aspiring singer, who disagrees with Wizkid’s assessment, expressed his frustration and said he is considering quitting music.
He then played the song in question, asking viewers to judge whether it is as bad as Wizkid claimed.
The video elicited mixed reactions online, with some suggesting that he contact Davido instead, noting that the DMW boss might be more receptive to the offer.
