Many online users expressed anger after Zinoleesky celebrated his boss Naira Marley’s birthday on social media and referred to him as “killy” in his message.

This comes amid allegations that Naira Marley was linked to the murder of his late record label signee Mohbad. Reports claimed Mohbad was bullied by both Naira Marley and his friend Sam Larry.

However, no legal determination has been made yet on the matter as police continue their investigation. While some say “killy” is UK slang for a good-looking person, it can also mean “killer” or “murderer” in Jamaican slang.

Given the unclear circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death and the alleged role of Naira Marley, many found Zinoleesky’s choice of words offensive and insensitive.

mmanjogram: The slang term “killy” is primarily used in the UK, particularly within London’s drill music scene. It refers to someone who is considered tough, fearless, or formidable, particularly in the context of gang or street culture. The term has been popularized through music and is often used to describe individuals who are dominant or respected in their circles.
